This video documents the creqtion of an experimental drawing. This work explored a way for me to work with drawing materials even though drawing is not one of my strong suits. I allowed myself to play and experiment with what was in front of me, and take away the pressure of creating a realistic representational drawing.

"A Bedlam Afternoon"

September 2012

This is one of the first videos I made. Our prompt for the assignment was to explore an aspect of ourselves and do it in less than a minute. I decided to feature the block that I lived on at the time, the coffee shop my boyfriend owned, and the roof of our (then) apartment. These are all places that chances are would have been at during some point of the day.

"The Inga Shoot: Debora Spencer Photography"

January 2013

This is a video I made for a friend Debora Spencer, a Photographer working in Seattle. I filmed it using a flip video camera and edited it in Final Cut Pro. Debora asked if I could come to one of her shoots and document it from begging to end. For this shoot my friend Beverly Lawrence (Debora's Assistant) created that newspaper dress from scratch and not to mention on the spot, she is amazing! The model is Seattle Burlesque performer Inga Ingenue.

"This Is For _________ (You)"

October 2014

This Is For (You) is an interactive arts collaboration involving seven different artists, with the intent to explore the relationship between strangers through an exchange. We hoped to breach some sort of social barrier between people that wouldn’t normally be crossed in a typical public setting. Each artist created two pieces of art over the span of two weeks with the notion that it would be given away to the public during the first exhibition. In return, the audience members had the choice of giving anything back that they deemed to be of equal value to the art piece received. We held our initial trade at the Fremont Sunday Market, identifying it as a thriving public setting with an atmosphere conducive for the project. This second exhibition is created out of the items attained during that initial exchange.
